Much To Do...

The Cheraw region of South Carolina offers much to do in the form of recreation, including lake living.  This beautiful, serene lake located on the storied US Highway 1 just minutes from town presents a scenic lake that's ideal to enjoy kayaking or canoeing.

The surrounding landscape is varied with one side offering a light slope to the waterfront and a common peninsula with the other offering a mix of light slopes to a bluff with long distance views.

Fishing is phenomenal at DragonFly Lake with bass and bream offering up some rod bending action.  Bass in the 8-9lb range have been boated and bream weighing in the 2lb range have been caught.

The lakes habitat includes lilly pads for cover, lots of open water, and is creek fed.  Of course, one of the most popular activities is just enjoying a dip into the cool waters from the peninsula.
